the theses of 26 young scholars

The 13th edition of the “Alberico Gentili” meeting between PhD students in International Law and European Union Law will take place on Friday and Saturday at the Sant’Agostino auditorium in San Ginesio. The event, organized by the SIDI-Italian Society of International Law and European Union Law and the CISG-Centro Internazionale Studi Gentiliani, brings 26 young scholars from 12 Italian universities to San Ginesio with the aim of presenting their research works which they will be discussed, in four thematic sessions, by a large group of professors. SIDI leaders, president Pasquale De Sena, deputy Massimo Starita and general secretary Angela Di Stasi will also participate in the meeting. The program also includes a lesson on research methodology; the traditional Lectio Gentiliana by the president of the CISG Luigi Lacchè, University of Macerata, and the keynote speech “International law and climate change” held by Jorge E. Viñuales of the University of Cambridge. The prestigious initiative benefits from the patronage of the Municipality of San Ginesio, of the Monti Azzurri Mountain Union, of the Region. “The San Ginesio Meeting – it was observed by SIDI – certainly constitutes one of the good practices of a scientific society, such as SIDI, which recognizes the strong driving force in the presence of many young scholars among its members. The abstracts of the doctoral students suggest the creation of accurate research paths around topics of public and private international law and European Union law”.
