The Rioli Market, on the two days of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April, hosts the 2nd Artichoke Festival at Matticella (click here for the complete program)dedicated to the promotion and tasting of local products, promoted by the Municipality of Velletri, whose management was entrusted to Pro Loco Velitrae which involved other local entities.
THE Vignaroli Velletrani they accepted the invitation of the municipal councilor for Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, Cristian Simonetti, to participate and collaborate with the Pro Loco Velitrae which was entrusted by the Municipality with the organization of the event. A participation of the Velletrani Vignaroli closely linked to the preparation and cooking of artichokes alla matticella.
Furthermore, the association will be present at the festival with a stand where it will distribute balloons to children and information leaflets on its activities. “We thank the municipal administration – says the president of the Vignaroli Velletrani APS, Michele Di Stazio – which has always involved us and continues to involve us in its projects for Velletri as well as some associations in the area, which boast history and experience, with which we are collaborating”. In addition to matticella artichokes, grilled meat and much more.
Entertainment is planned for lunch and dinner over the two days. Saturday 27th, lunch with Stornell’Attori and dinner with Erre Sei. Sunday 28th, lunch with Lavinia Fiorani and dinner with Icaro (tribute to Renato Zero). Market opening at 8am. There will also be a play area for children. The Festival area can also be reached by shuttle bus after parking your car at the ex Amore car park on Via dei Volsci.
