Legnano mourns Mirella Cerini, mayor of Castellanza who passed away on Thursday 25 April due to an illness suffered after the celebrations for the 79th anniversary of the Liberation.

«Mirella truly died as mayor, still wearing the tricolor sash after the ceremony for April 25th – these are the words of the mayor Lorenzo Radice, who expressed the condolences of the deputy mayor Anna Pavan and of the entire council -; a moment that, as mayor, I also experienced with participation this morning. I will carry the memory of her with me a mayor who has always demonstrated a strong determination to achieve the objectives for her city. In recent years I have had the opportunity to get to know it and collaborate on important issues: first Accam, then the Altomilanese Park, then, very recently, Amga and Sieco. His passing reminds us, once again, that our life truly hangs by a very thin thread. The administration’s and our entire city’s deepest condolences go to his family and the entire Castellanza community.”
