Create agovernment agency who controls the football club accountsgiving a binding opinion on registration for the championships. That is, that it carries out the role currently attributed to it Covisocthe Football Club Supervision Commission, an internal body of the Figc. According to what they report Courier And Republicthe Minister of Sports Andrea Abodi is preparing a heavy offensive on the autonomy of the Federation, from which it aims to remove – for the first time – supervision of company budgets.

In Abodi’s plans, the task will be assigned to a new one non-economic public body, the Agency for the economic and financial supervision of professional sports clubs, directed by three figures and made up of around thirty employees in total. All leaders will be appointed by Presidency of the Council of Ministers (of which the ministry led by Abodi is part). The organization will cost 2.5 million euros per year, which the companies themselves will have to pay.

The draft of the rule – which could be included in a soon-to-be-approved government measure – was sent by the minister to the leaders of the FIGC and the Cones (the national sports governing body). And it has caused a stir due to what is seen as an unacceptable invasion of the pitch, almost a slap in the face in response to the requests for greater autonomy coming from the Serie A League. The president of the Football Federation Gabriele Gravina he therefore called a meeting for Monday extraordinary meeting of the presidents of the components (Leagues of A and B, Lega Pro, coaches, players and referees), preparatory to next week’s Federal Council.
