Yesterday a (national) press release from the local PD denounced the absence of Mayor Baccini
While photos and articles regarding the important anniversary of April 25th are published on social networks and online newspapers throughout Italy, in Fiumicino the opportunity to raise a controversy against the Baccini Administration was not missed.
In particular, yesterday the PD group leader councilor, Ezio Di Genesio Pagliuca, issued a press release, published by national agencies, in which he condemned the absence of Mayor Mario Baccini on such an important day.
“The doubt arises, in these hours, due to a communication issued by the Municipality’s website, then removed, that the mayor may not participate in the ceremony of laying the wreaths due to another initiative sponsored by the Municipality. If this were the case, we turn to the mayor asking him to reconsider his decision and to guarantee his participation in such an important event for our country and for the entire community”

A celebration for everyone, that of April 25th to remember the Liberation from the dictatorship that oppressed Italy until 1945. A party without a political flag, but which the left never misses an opportunity to use as an attack on centre-right administrations.

Mayor Baccini took a few days off to take advantage of the “bridge”. The citizens who have been following the work of this administration for almost a year know this… they can afford it!
Mario Baccini does not fear any criticism in this regard for several reasons. First because the administrative machine is working continuously, seriously and free from any ideological prejudice. “I will be everyone’s Mayor”, said Baccini the day after the electoral victory, forgetting in an instant who was at his side and who was not. Said, done… just ask in town.
Second, the majority team is made up of a group of women and men of cultural and civic depth, such as to be able to make up for the absence of the mayor at any time.
Wanting to give a different meaning, from that of the need to unplug by an “omnipresent” Mayor both in the Municipality and in the many events created by his team, means looking for the “chance” and then filling the social media posts with nothing . A system already used several times by the opposition in the Council.
