GALLARATE – The future of Gallaratese sport is pink. In fact, it’s female. Or female, like the strongly growing sector of Torino Club Gallarate, or rather Torino Club Marco Parolo Football School, given that the management team includes the former Lazio player and true Gallaratese. A club that, to cite an example, was chosen as the best club in Italy in 2020. A club that has decided to invest further: over 600 thousand euros to renovate the via Sella pitch and professionally train the staff of the women’s sector.

Investing to grow

Coming to the present and looking to the future he is the operations manager Vincenzo Tripodi to paint a very clear picture: «For us, the women’s sector is projected forward – she explains – In one year it has grown and will continue to do so». To achieve the goal there is a key word: investments. «Important investment – says Tripodi – On structures and human capital. These are the two key points. I underline that these are private investments. The Parolo family is ready to do everything necessary to further develop the women’s sector.” Today, one year after leaving there are around a hundred athletes within the club: «We have added teams – says the operations director – and we want to continue to do so. Growth, investment and high quality: these are our cornerstones.”

The via Sella field

On the investment front there are two major guidelines. First: the structures. «The project – explains Tripodi – with a investment of over 600 thousand euros is to transform our other field of reference, the Campo Sella, in the “home” of the women’s sector. A synthetic field will be built, the systems and the fence will be redone, the intervention will cover everything that needs to be done to transform the field into the operational base for our athletes.” Second: «We have already invested and will continue to invest more in the training of all staff in order to bring our staff to professional technical levels. We aim for excellence, high quality, in short.”

Knitwear, territory and culture

It is clear that a reality like this, which aims to root women’s football and the athletes who play it in the granata shirt and in the territory, can only be attractive for many other young and very young women. To also underline a plus value of the project that goes beyond sport and sporting results is Simona Scurati, former player and soul of the Granata women’s sector: «Here in the last year boys and girls have learned to coexist with the work done together today this is a reality in harmony. Women’s and men’s football can be different technically. But the effort, commitment and passion are the same for everyone. It’s a cultural message which we consider extremely important to pass. And the girls proved to be very tough, they never gave up. Becoming friends with each other even off the pitch, in everyday life, this is also a peculiarity of women’s football.”

Tournament and Open Day

At this point all that remains is to open the doors of this reality to all those who want to know it. And on this point too, Torino Club Gallarate spares nothing. Three appointments. On June 2nd, the Amiche del Toro Tournament will be played on the Montello field. LThe Under 13 category will see Torino Club, Airoldi, Gavirate and Azalee competing on the pitch. Six teams will compete for victory in the Under15 category: Torino Club, Besnatese, Airoldi, Sarnico, Bulè and Vittuone. On the occasion of the tournament, which will see the champion Marco Parolo present, the center in via Montello will be open with the possibility for non-members to carry out mini activities organized by the company. Followed by a double Open Day on 15 and 22 June open to all non-members. To close in July, the fourth event is open to all athletes or aspiring athletes.
