The colorful Book Festival organized by the Versilia Tourist Promotion Consortium, in collaboration with the Nati per Scrivere Cultural Association, returns to animate the Lido di Camaiore seafront on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May. Toscanalibri.it is Media Partner of the event.
The event, which enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Camaiore, aims to shine a spotlight on independent publishing by enhancing and promoting small publishers, authors and illustrators with a special eye on the stories of our territory. Throughout the weekend, from 10am to 8pm, gazebos will be set up where authors, collectives, cultural associations and publishing houses will have the opportunity to make their books known and with the chance to meet their favorite authors.

“Since its first edition, the book festival has also had the aim of bringing debut writers together with local publishing companies – he declared Carlo Alberto Carrai president of the Consortium – and to offer the opportunity to already established authors to have new literary productions presented and meet their readers”.

“We are happy and honored to return to Lido di Camaiore again this year, for the Book Festival, an opportunity to meet readers and book enthusiasts” he added Alessio Del Debbiopresident of Nati per Scrivere, “After Lucca Città di Carta, another event to enhance and promote the culture of our territory, in which we participate with enthusiasm, also bringing our editorial news”.

Also for this edition there is a space for children’s activities, with animated readings, games and child-friendly books to browse.
An area for presentations will be set up in the square in front of the pier, where authors and publishers will be able to discuss their books in quick and continuous meetings, open to the public, which will be held during the two afternoons. On Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May, visitors will also be able to admire the paintings and works of art by Silvia Talassi, in the exhibition “The sea and the witches”, in the square in front of the pier.
