Those who have followed them for a long time know perfectly well how innate irony and total harmony are their calling cards. But the inseparable friends Paride Vitale and Victoria Cabello, also companions of television programs such as “Beijing Express 2022” which even won, presented themselves yesterday at the MAXXI – National Museum of XXI Century Arts in the unusual role of writer and moderator. Specifically, it was an opportunity to talk about the genesis that stimulated Vitale to create “D’amore e d’Abruzzo” Cairo Editore, a book but also a sort of declaration of love towards his homeland.

THE PRESENTATION

Many strangers but also lifelong friends such as Dino Abbrescia and Susy Laude dressed in Japanese style arrived to listen and applaud the stories, advice and secrets of Abruzzo in the MAXXI auditorium, as well as the producer and CEO of Medusa Giampaolo Letta who arrived with his wife Rossana. In the room full of literature lovers, the president of the MAXXI foundation Alessandro Giuli used words of satisfaction for the particular literary creation, while the actor and director Alessandro Roja sat in the front rows together with Daniela Virgilio, his professional partner in the direct TV series by Stefano Sollima “Criminal Novel”.

So Abruzzo is told by a true Abruzzese who has the rare ability to keep the autobiographical part and the “tourist” information in perfect balance; Vitale’s voice is in fact that of a sincere lover who transmits, seasoned with delicious irony, the profound feeling that binds him to his roots. Many listening to his words were convinced to pack their suitcase to leave and walk the paths, reach the hermitages, enjoy the sea and the mountains, as well as meet the characters, taste the dishes, taste the wines and admire nature and the fauna. Whether it’s a trip by car, train or bike, but also on foot, by canoe or on horseback, it’s always the time to leave for a full immersion in a region of great beauty, often still unknown.
