Michael is the international festival of the cultural, spiritual, natural and gastronomic heritage of the City of two UNESCO Sites and the seventh edition returns from 4 to 12 May in Monte Sant’Angelo, the cultural capital of Puglia for 2024.
A rich program of meetings, walks, tourist promotion events with BTM Gargano and the most beautiful villages in Italy in Pugliaevents also dedicated to sport (football tournament among the UNESCO sites of Puglia), welfare (with the “Museums in a suitcase” project in socio-health structures), legality (with the theatrical show for the 30 years since the death of Don Peppe Diana), walks, guided tours at night, appointments with the cultural residencies of cinema (with the documentary by Maurizio Sciarra dedicated to Maria Montessori, Thursday 9th at 8.30 pm in the Auditorium) and theater (presentation and call for the InCoro workshop ), “capital on the move” with the entire school community (Saturday 11th at 8.30 am), the traditional “Festival of San Michele in May” with re-enactments, tastings, screenings and concerts by Sud Folk and Terranima” (Saturday 11th from 19 in the historic centre), the European assembly of Via Micaelica;
this year’s special theme, angels, which will be told through various languages of art:
* sculpture, with the “Angels” exhibition by Nicola Genco at the Castle (inauguration on the 11th at 6 pm)
* theater with “Angels. White living statues”, special traveling tableau vivant show (Saturday 4th at 9.30 pm)
* music and poetry with the production “On the footsteps of the sacred” with the Rione Junno and the poets Davide Rondoni and Raffaele Niro (Sunday 5, upper Santuario atrium)
* aerial dance with the great return of “The Flight of the Archangel” in the upper atrium of the Sanctuary.
