COSENZA – «The controversy of the centre-right opposition over the debts notified by the Revenue Agency to the Municipality of Cosenza is truly cloying and paroxysmal». This is what the municipal administration states, which continues: «Instead of blushing with shame, they are trying to raise a fuss and create confusion about an affair that has no need of clarification. It is true that the debts for SIAE rights only amount to 60,000.00 Euros but it is also true that the tax bill notified to Palazzo dei Bruzi amounts to 3,013,853.29 Euros.
The centre-right city councilors should blush if only because the reduction in the amount of these debts, which respond to different voices and creditors, dates back exactly to the decade in which Mario Occhiuto and the center-right governed the city. It is worth clarifying all this, not so much because we need to lament the legacy of the heavy crisis and financial collapse but only to clarify the centre-right’s clumsy attempt to distort the reality of the facts. We would even like to hide the debt that exists and must be recognized.
