In the season of the Roman terraces, Settimo Roman Cuisine & Terrace is the perfect meeting place, even in the open air, to taste specialties, curated by Chef Giuseppe d’Alessio, in a refuge far from the chaos even on festive days and with the possibility of dine under the stars.
The protagonist is Italian tradition with a French touch: it starts in the morning light with homemade desserts and traditional croissants in different types, which characterize breakfast, together with the many proposals from eggs in different ways, to salads, from French toast, Crèpès and drinks for all tastes, including anti-aging juice.
For lunch and dinner there are the classic first courses Amatriciana, Gricia and Cacio e Pepe, together with seasonal dishes such as egg fettuccine with asparagus and mussel ragù and Trapani-style pesto or tortelli filled with aubergine parmigiana with provola cream and drops of pesto; fish lovers can choose between fried squid with Roman courgettes and sea bass fillet with roasted and raw asparagus and more, while among the meats, among others, the roasted sliced beef with rocket, cherry tomato and balsamic vinegar stand out of Modena and the veal fillet like saltimbocca with chicory and onion stew.
These dishes are joined by vegetarian proposals, from the classic vegetable minestrone, to salads in different ways, up to the range of grilled seasonal vegetables with peanut pesto and thrombolotto or even the crunchy cannoli of spring vegetables with seasonal truffle.
Furthermore, the table cannot miss selections of Italian and French cheeses with fruit mustard and desserts such as, for example, the classic tiramisu in the crunchy chocolate version or the strawberry crème brûlé.
The afternoon appointment with Le Gouter is dedicated to dessert lovers, to enjoy mini cheesecakes, macarons, gianduja tartlets and homemade desserts of the day.
In the light of the unmissable sunset, the chic aperitif with Oscietra caviar and a glass of champagne, which accompanies the spectacle of the different shades of the sky over the city of Rome.
A panorama to be admired from the front row, also with a dedicated tasting menu and welcome glass of champagne with a surprise from the chef, together with dishes such as the crispy scampi puttanesca or the tuna seared with two sesame seeds with sautéed escarole and balsamic vinegar reduction or again lamb chop with Mediterranean herbs with sweet and sour onion and green sauce.
