Firefighters and local police intervene to make the tree safe. Now the municipality’s agronomist will say whether it is unsafe
He heard a “knock” and realized that a branch had broken off from the nearest horse chestnut tree. She was the florist at the Grazie church today (May 3, 2024) who triggered the alarm in viale Papa Giovanni XXIII for a tree that local police and firefighters they immediately cordoned offprohibiting pedestrians from the affected portion of the sidewalk.
The surgery was performed after 5pm. Some branches have been pruned to make the tree safe, which will now also be inspected by the Municipality’s agronomist to understand if it should be cut more radically. The fallen branch hit the roof of the flower kiosk, with the newsstand next to it, but did not cause any damage or injure anyone.
