They had spent some time away from home for health reasons. Upon their return, it was as if they no longer had a home: two women and a young girl forced the entrance to the public housing where they lived and occupied it, preventing them from returning. Thus a family from Monterusciello, a hamlet of Pozzuoli, is now forced to live on the street, relying on relatives when possible. The affair was also reported by the Avs deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who went to the site today with the Europa Verde city councilors Enzo Pafundi and Gennaro Andreozzi and with the councilor Titti Zazzaro. “They won’t get away with it, I’ve asked for them to be evicted,” warned Borrelli.
The story
It all began when the family was forced to reach Lombardy: the mother had to receive some treatment, and her husband and their daughter accompanied her. «We have practically lived here forever – the victims said -, we were away for health reasons and then we were experiencing a moment of weakness due to two consecutive deaths. They took advantage of it. They knew where to strike and surely someone helped them as an expert job was done to break the lock.”
Borrelli announced battle: «Obviously we have already requested intervention for the eviction both from the municipality and from the prosecutor’s office given that a regular complaint has been filed. How can some people afford to occupy other people’s homes while leaving their legitimate assignees to sleep on the streets? Anyone who needs a place to live must contact the institutions and social services and ask to be assigned a house and not commit an offense or abuse. We will not stop, we will continue to fight hard against those who take away people’s homes and we will not let them get away with it.”
