It was February 21, 2003 when her father killed the woman with a gunshot from behind. Alfredo, a child yesterday and a man today, who still misses that maternal embrace, tells it, addressing the students of the Cassandro-Fermi-Nervi technical institute in Barletta. In the meeting he then spoke about his maternal grandparents, calling them “superheroes”, those people who never abandoned him and helped him overcome his anger against that man who had taken everything from him.

Alfredo’s mother immediately recognizes the first signs of violence, but forgives for too long. “When I was born my crying bothered him, he kicked us out when I cried and if my mother objected she was slapped. The principal’s words concluded the morning of awareness raising Annalisa Ruggieri: “I am particularly struck because it takes courage, and I believe that is what is needed to fight fear. I personally thank the Professor Riefolo which pays attention to the needs of children and captures moments of emotional needs which require great sensitivity. I invite the kids to talk about it with those who can give a concrete hand to try to put an end to the violence.”
