Great morning of football at the Franco Ossola with the Coppa Primavera – Memorial Cesare Bonazzi: in front of a good crowd Lecco and Lugano gained the pass to the final by eliminating the hosts Varese and the reigning champions Como respectively. Lecco began to press straight away and found the advantage in the 20th minute: an enlightening opening for Raimondi and a pass to Mihali who shot past an innocent Montorio (who nevertheless attempted a miracle). Raimondi’s explosiveness on the left hurts Varese, but Zulli devours an opportunity that mirrors the one for the lead. At the beginning of the second half Raimondi himself comes back on the right but without hitting the target, repeating himself shortly afterwards with the left foot. Varese remains in the game and in the final tries to be seen by the opposing goalkeeper without however creating particular dangers. Satisfied, however, mister Matteo Ponti: “It fills me with pride to think that last year we started on the synthetic back here with a Provincial U17 and today we still managed to keep up with a Primavera3 without ever suffering too much. Obviously, we consciously chose to put ourselves at the mercy of an opponent more experienced and physical than us, but I asked the boys to enjoy the event and come out with their heads held high, which they did: I’m very satisfied“.

The beautiful turn with the left foot gave the Swiss advantage at the end of the first half. The match definitely comes alive in the second half, which opens with a daring double own goal: first a misunderstanding between Rutigliano and Pecherskyy results in the Larian draw, then an acceleration on the left by Bakwetila favors Sordelli’s own goal. Como doesn’t have it and Andrealli comes back on the right, surprising the goalkeeper with a shot to the near post. A truly lively match that was decided by a goal from Carrasco which hit the near post. Como discovers itself and in full recovery the fourth Swiss goal arrives: counterattack after a corner and Rossetto sets the table for Solzi who ends the match with an empty net.
