Visiting a new city is always one wonderful experience, but there are places that can leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. And it can happen that, sometimes, it is precisely the most renowned attractions that are disappointing: either because of the crowding that doesn’t allow you to fully enjoy these beauties, or because of the queues, many tourists are not satisfied with what we consider real pearls.
To draw up the ranking of worst “tourist traps” is Preply, a site that offers online language courses: by analyzing traveler reviews published on two very famous platforms, it cross-referenced data regarding 76 famous attractions located all over the world. The search was based on the use of keywords such as “disappointing” and “overrated”. If Italy does not appear in the overall Top 10, it has deserved one separate ranking: let’s find out which attractions ended up on the list.
