Lamezia, day of awards and recognition at the Ardito secondary school with the State Police

Lamezia Terme – Important and satisfying day for the students of the Ardito secondary school. On visit, the police commissioner of Catanzaro, Paolo Sirna, the deputy police commissioner Renato Panvino and the director of the Lamezia Terme police station, Antonio Turi. The senior officials of the State Police arrived at the complex to award recognition to three young people who were found to be deserving with the creation of an essay on the figure of the policeman, as part of the second annual competition linked to the Police Festival. The three young people awarded today by the Police Commissioner were Tommaso Talarico, Smeralda Fazio, Raimondo Palazzo.

In the same, sober ceremony, 2 plaques were awarded in memory of the 172nd Police Festival, one to the Ardito Don Bosco youth orchestra, in thanks for the applauded participation in the event on 10 April at the Politeama of Catanzaro, and a plaque to the Ardito institute as custodian of the life testimony of Professor Lucia Precenzano Aversa. Among the emotion of the children and parents, the words of the police commissioner Sirna were significant as he underlined the need for always close collaboration between the police forces and the school in order to spread the sense of honesty and legality in the future ruling class of our Village.

The two schools “Perri-Pitagora” and “Ardito-Don Bosco” participated in a competition entitled “If you were a policeman, what would you do to defend the sense of legality of your city and country?”. The works are were evaluated by a special commission made up of representatives of the Police Headquarters and the two educational institutions. Some of the winning students were awarded on the stage of the Politeama theater in Catanzaro, on the occasion of the celebration of the 172nd anniversary of the foundation of the State Police; others yesterday at their respective schools. The visit is part of the many local initiatives promoted by the State Police to spread and support the civil and educational value of legality and solidarity.
