in Milan and Naples twelve artists including Mahmood, Annalisa, Gianna Nannini and Ultimo

In eleven years, what started as an idea has transformed into the largest free live music event in Italy. This year, Radio Italia Live returns with a double appointment: on May 15th in Piazza Duomo in Milan (from 8.40pm) and on June 27th for the first time in Naples, in Piazza del Plebiscito. Twelve artists will perform on the stages of the event, accompanied by the Radio Italia Live Orchestra directed by maestro Bruno Santori: Alessandra Amoroso, Annalisa, Emma, Gazzelle, Geolier, Ghali, Mahmood, Angelina Mango, Gianna Nannini, Noemi, The Kolors and Ultimo. «These are the real popular culture events we need», comments the mayor of Milan Beppe Sala during the presentation of the concert at Palazzo Marino. This is echoed by the municipality’s culture councilor Tommaso Sacchi: «Every time it is an indescribable emotion seeing that square full thanks to artists who create the soundtrack of our lives.” The president of Radio Italia Mario Volanti was also satisfied: «This year we wanted to put the whole radio on stage, entrusting the hosting to our speakers».

And then the voices of Radio Italia will take turns on stage: Giuditta Arecco, Daniela Cappelletti, Marco Falivelli, Mauro Marino, Manola Moslehi and Paoletta. At the presentation there is Emma, representing the cast: «This is a show that gives back to music the importance of quality: singing live with an orchestra is a lot of work but it’s wonderful.” An important event, which can also be followed by those who are not in Milan or Naples. Alessandro Volanti, marketing director of Radio Italia, reminds us: «The concert can also be followed on the radio, on our social profiles, in audio and video streaming and on the television channel which will be supported by all the platforms of our broadcasting partner, Sky. In this way, last year 15 million people watched Radio Italia Live. The desire is to improve ourselves and take this number as a starting point.” A plausible result also for Sky, represented by Daniele Ottier: «We want to bring these live shows to those who are elsewhere: I like concerts and they are a message of transgenerational culture. Music brings positive values for everyone.”
