Looking at the entire journey of this team, it is natural to give a very positive overall opinion: we have seen it grow since Serie B, earning it the role of protagonist from the center of the table in the top flight. The feeling is that Gila’s “creature” is well built and capable of facing the next championships peacefully. There now exists a structure that the technician has gradually, month after month, year after year, shaped in his image and likeness. In our opinion, a few tweaks (but luxurious ones) will be enough to attempt to reach the European area in three years.
In this regard, now that salvation has arrived with large gaps from the dangerous area of the standings, it is right (and the club should not worry) to now know how the “soap opera” of the bench will end.
Logic would say: get it over with, keep Gilardino, give him three years of work, an adequate salary and end it there.
On the other hand, it would seem unthinkable, after seeing what the current value of the Gilardinian “team” is, and what it could be in the future, not to believe in the coach. It would be a huge heresy.
Obviously he will be the one to have his say: it is now known that the rossoblù club would have offered the coach a three-year contract, with a million plus salary bonus and would be waiting for the coach’s response.
