‘Deejays for breakfast’, after Umbria Jazz the initiative also for the Journalism Festival
Descriptive text here

The event that has long warmed Perugia’s summer mornings on the occasion of Umbria Jazz returns to Perugia in spring too. Now it is being repeated on the occasion of another important festival: on 18, 19 and 20 April, from 10.30 to 12.30, “Deejays for breakfast – author’s breakfasts” will take place during the days of the Journalism Festival. For this edition, in fact, the DJ sets will be inspired by some literary authors, capturing the essence of their worlds through music.

On Thursday 18th, Fab Mayday will kick off the event in the classic setting of Caffè Fortebraccio, in front of the Etruscan arch, with a set inspired by Jonathan Coe, a master in describing the change in English society after Thatcherism. On Friday 19th, again at Fortebraccio, Chiskee and The Dose will guide you through the New York chiaroscuro of Colson Whitehead, winner of the Pulitzer Prize. Finally, Saturday 20th, appointment in Corso Cavour at Paradiso 518: Haruki Murakami’s Japan in the spotlight with selections by Jankygroove and Don Carmelo. During the three events you will also be able to admire the unique cereal boxes created specifically for the event by the graphic designer Alessandro Pantano, a now cult object already on permanent display on the walls of Fortebraccio.
