Spring Sunday in Cesena on the trail of the Liberation 80 years ago
Descriptive text here

Spring Sundays are back, themed guided experiences to discover the area and its history. Sunday 21 April we return to Cesena. This time the proposed theme is Liberation: we will remember the eightieth anniversary of the bombing of the city and the passage of the front, with an exciting visit to the places of memory. Visitors will be taken to the Rocca Malatestiana, the scene of heroic and tragic events: massacres, daring liberations of prisoners, revenge. The visit also includes entry to the ancient city prisons, which were located right inside the fortress.

To participate in the initiative it is necessary to book directly online on the Percorsi del Savio website, on the page https://emiliaromagnawelcome-giratlantide.trekksoft.com/it/activity/327809/cesena-della-liberazione. The cost is 12 euros, the meeting time is 10:00 in the morning, at the IAT Tourist Office in Cesena, Piazza del Popolo 9. The duration of the visit is approximately an hour and a half. For information contact 0547 356327 (from Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00, Sunday from 9:00 to 13:00).

The next date is scheduled for Sunday 28 April, to discover the “papal Cesena”, in the footsteps of Barnaba Chiaramonti, or Pius VII, the second pontiff of Cesena origins. The event will end on Sunday 12 May with Cesena in the greenery, between the Rimembranza park, Rocchetta di Piazza and the Ecology Museum.
