The first, roaring trailer of the Netflix miniseries about the Formula 1 champion

The 6 episodes of the biographical drama starring Gabriel Leone will be available for streaming in 2024.

Netflix spread the first trailer and new official photos of Seinehis highly anticipated new Brazilian miniseries based on the life and career of the Formula 1 champion and sports legend Ayrton Senna, available to stream later this year. Through Galvão Bueno’s historic commentary and Senna’s victory cry at Interlagos in 1991, the very first images of the 6-episode biographical drama recreate with the protagonist Gabriel Leone the epic moment when the driver won his home Grand Prix for the first time, after being stuck in sixth gear.

Senna: The miniseries that tells the story of the Formula 1 champion

Written by Vicente Amorimwhich he directed with Julia Rezende and created in collaboration with Senna Brands and the driver’s family, Seine will show for the first time Ayrton Senna’s journey of triumphs, disappointments, joys and sorrows, revealing his personality and personal relationships. The miniseries will tell the story of the three-time Formula 1 world champion from the beginning of his automotive career, to his move to England to compete in Formula Ford, until his tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix.

The trailer also reveals some of the other iconic characters who were part of Ayrton’s life that year, including Xuxa (played by Pâmela Tomé), Alain Prost (Matt Mella), McLaren Team Principal Ron Dennis (Patrick Kennedy) and Galvão Bueno (Gabriel Louchard). The rest of the cast includes Alice Wegmann as Lilian Vasconcelos, Ayrton’s first wife; Camila Márdila of Vivianne Senna, his sister; Christian Malheiros of Maurinho, his friend; Hugo Bonemer by Nelson Piquet; Julia Foti by Adriane Galisteu; Marco Ricca of ‘Maurão’ Senna, his father; Susana Ribeiro of Zaza Senna, his mother; Kaya Scodelario of Laura, a fictional journalist; Arnaud Viard by Jean-Marie Balestre; Joe Hurst by Keith Sutton; Johannes Heinrichs by Niki Lauda; Keisuke Hoashi by Osamu Goto; Leon Ockenden by James Hunt; Richard Clothier by Peter Warr; Steven Mackintosh by Frank Williams; And Tom Mannion by Sid Watkins.
