The Observatory aims to increase and spread the culture of legality and the theme of active citizenship, with particular attention to raising the awareness of the younger generations, through coordinated actions with all local bodies and institutions: law enforcement agencies, schools , associations, supra-municipal bodies and the other Phlegraean municipalities.
Yesterday, Tuesday 16 April, the mayor Gigi Manzoni signed the decrees appointing Dr. Maresca Castle (anti-mafia magistrate), Maurizio De Giovanni (writer and intellectual) e Gennaro Tortora (criminal lawyer).
The lawyer Gennaro Tortora he was appointed President of the Observatory. The first commitment of Board of Directors was to appoint the members of the scientific Committee: Carmen Del Core (of “Libera Contro le Mafie Campi Flegrei”), Leandro Del Gaudio (editor-in-chief of “Il Mattino”) e Cesare Sirignanoanti-Camorra magistrate.
