Presented at Vinitaly OroRe Nerothe red wine of Vineyard of the King of the Bosco di San Silvestro of Royal Palace of Caserta produced by Fontana Estate. At the most important wine fair in the world, the latest addition to the vineyard recovered inside the Vanvitellian Complex, Museum of the Ministry of Culture, was shown to the national and international market. The Vigna della Reggia di Caserta also proved to be an opportunity to share a common strategy on the historic vineyards of Campania and beyond. The Campania regional councilor for Agriculture Nicola Caputo, starting from the Vigna della Reggia di Caserta, proposed creating an itinerary on the historic vineyards of Campania. An idea shared by the director of the Royal Palace of Caserta, Tiziana Maffei, also because for some time now the Royal Palace has supported and promoted the idea of agricultural production desired by the Bourbons as a symbolic point of reference of the collective agri-food imagination, not only Italian, combining history and culture.

«The Royal Palace has been working for some time to involve the private sector, enhancing the productive identity of the Bourbon sites», said director Maffei. «Viticulture expresses all the culture, history and traditions of our community – said councilor Nicola Caputo – As part of the food and wine itineraries, we intend to enhance the historic vineyards connected to the reference cultural sites of our region». An idea also taken up by all the other speakers present at the table: the owner of Tenuta Fontana, Maria Pina Fontana; the winemaker Francesco Bartoletti; the spin doctor Luigi Ferraiuolo; the president of the Caserta Chamber of Commerce Tommaso De Simone; the president of the Vitica Consortium Cesare Avenia; the president of the Campania Fisar Carlo Iacone.

«The historic vineyards are a symbolic reference point of great charm and communicative power», underlined Ferraiuolo. Mariapina Fontana highlighted how the undertaking was titanic: «OroRe, the Vigna della Reggia, are a community brand: every improvement is a step forward in favor of the wines of Campania Felix». A transition, that of growth, also highlighted by the president of the Chamber of Commerce Tommaso De Simone: «When we began the adventure with the provincial wine shop in 2014 there were around twenty companies – says De Simone – now they have become so many. This is our mission, to help local companies grow, to network them, to accompany them, to make Terra di Lavoro grow.”
