GELA – An anesthesiologist, Maurizio Portelli, 60 years old, was found dead in his room at the Gela hospital in the Nisseno area. He had worked the night shift and was lying on the bed in the room to rest when, in all likelihood, he fell ill. A colleague of his found out this morning. The body was transferred to the mortuary.

“The strategic direction – says the health director of the ASP Luciano Fiorella – is close to the family, and in particular to his wife, also an anesthesiologist. We remember the beautiful human and professional qualities of this doctor who unfortunately died during duty hours.”
