Crotone, drug dealing in via Acquabona. Immediate judgment for 7 suspects

7 of the 12 people involved in the investigation by the Crotone Prosecutor’s Office which dismantled an alleged pusher network active in the Roma district of via Acquabona are going to trial. The prosecutor, Rosaria Multari, requested and obtained immediate judgment from the investigating judge, Assunta Palumbo. The hearing for them will begin on June 5th in front of the Court of Crotone. Now the defendants have 15 days to choose whether to be judged with an alternative rite: the shortened one (which in the event of conviction provides for a discount of one third of the sentence) or the plea bargain.

These are the 7 who will be tried: Donato Bevilacqua (31 years old), Armando Manetta (34), Nicola Manetta (42), Franco Passalacqua (19), Leonardo Bevilacqua (40), Romina Bevilacqua (31) and Cosimo Bevilacqua (21). The positions of the other 5 suspects have been eliminated. Among the defenders are the lawyers Mario Prato and Fabrizio Salviati.

With drug buyers, mostly adults, but also teenagers and professionals, who, in order to obtain doses of drugs, would have used to send messages on WhatsApp to the dealers using cryptic language, in order to avoid, in vain, the attention of the police.
