The Vis Pesaro 1898 strongly condemns what happened to the US Recanatese fans, victims of an attack on buses on their way home. We have always maintained that the values belonging to our club deviate from any form of violence. For this reason we express our closeness to them, trusting that justice will take its course.
We would also like to make a small reply to the note shared by US Recanatese itself on its Facebook page. Credit to the opposing team for the stubbornness with which they faced the match, remaining in the game until the end with character. But discrediting the work of the referees and the VAR room with the aim of casting a bad light on a salvation that we have earned with strength and determination does not reflect our concept of ‘sportsmanship’. We feel sorry for the Giallorossi members who were invaded by the warm Pesaro public who did not stop even in the face of opposition from the security who, contrary to what was stated by US Recanatese, did everything possible to limit access to the pitch in post game. Invasions of the pitch are known in all football categories, we will assume our responsibilities as all clubs do, but in other venues. The process via social media is not our style. We wish US Recanatese our best wishes for the future.
