They wrote it on the posters. And they want to make it heard with a torchlight procession: «Love doesn’t kill». It’s scheduled this evening at 8.30pm in Vigonzain the province of Padua, the torchlight procession promoted by the Venetian municipality to remember Giada Zanolathe 33 year old from Folzano who on Wednesday night she’s dead falling from an A4 overpass.
The young woman, mother of a three-year-old child, had been living in Veneto for some time, first in the province of Venice and now in that of Padua, and in 2022 she had bought a house in Vigonza. The State Police has no doubts: Zanola was killed by her partner Andrea Favero39 years old, who has been in prison since Thursday and who on Friday in the validation interrogation made use of the right not to answer.
The mayor of the town, Gianmaria Boscaro, promoted the initiative and Giada’s family, her father, sister and brother have made it known that they will be present. Federica, Giada’s sister, is in Padua and interviewed by a local newspaper she reiterated what her other brother, Daniel, had said in Folzano a few hours after learning of the death of her sister: «For us Andrea was finewe never knew he was violent.”
In the meantime, the investigations. Above all we want to understand whether the murder was premeditated. The analysis of the phones could be decisive: Andrea Favero’s was seized while Giada Zanola’s cannot be found.
There couple was in crisisso much so that the 33-year-old had canceled the wedding already scheduled for September and for some time she had been seeing another person with whom she would soon go to work. The arguments continued, some even violent. Favero told the investigators that Zanola threatened to take away his child, while she, to a friend in Brescia, had sent the photo of bruises that she had after the violent argument with her partner on Monday 27 May: two days before she was killed.
