Eleonora Certelli, 21 years old from Rome, is the victim of the road accident which occurred on the A1 in the stretch between Ferentino and Anagni just before 4pm on Tuesday 16 April. In addition to the victim, two serious injuries were also reported.

The dynamics

From initial information, a small car, a Peugeot 107, driven by the victim’s mother – on the road towards Rome – first collided with a lorry and then overturned several times. The car turned into a pile of sheet metal: the intervention of the firefighters was necessary to free the victim’s body and the injured. For 21-year-old Eleonora Certelli there was nothing that could be done. Once on site, having ascertained the seriousness of the conditions of the injured, the 118 rescuers activated two air ambulances for the transfer to the hospitals in Rome.

Traffic

A difficult day for motorists traveling on the Rome – Naples Autostrada del Sole. The queue was five kilometers long, with traffic directed onto adjacent roads. The Ferentino toll booth heading north was closed for hours.

The victim

Eleonora Certelli, 21 years old, was a university student. Yesterday she had reached Cassino to celebrate the graduation of a relative. At the time of the accident she was returning from the south of Ciociaria.
