Information and wellbeing days in oncology aesthetics

The Municipality, through the Department of Equal Opportunities, contributed with financial support of five thousand euros to the ‘Aesthetically DH’ project presented by Andos, the Ferrara Committee, for the creation of a cycle of aesthetic awareness and information meetings, aimed at women who have had breast surgery and are taking pharmacological therapies.

Anyone who finds themselves facing and fighting a major disease such as cancer, or undergoing prolonged pharmacological treatment, has the right, like any other person, to receive useful information that will accompany them on the difficult treatment path, with practical suggestions and specific products. safe, adequate, attentive to the physiological characteristics and changes that the skin and body undergo as a result of and following the therapies to which patients are subjected. There are seven meetings in total, on Thursdays, conducted by professional experts in aesthetics, starting from tomorrow and will take place from 3pm to 6pm at the Andos headquarters in via Domenico Panetti 40 in Ferrara, throughout the year, with one meeting per month until December 2024 (excluding the months of July and August). The aim of informative meetings on well-being in oncology aesthetics is to improve the quality of life of patients before, during and after therapies. “For years – says Marcella Marchi President of Andos Committee of Ferrara – we have been present in the Ferrara area with multiple activities and initiatives, which contribute, together with the institutions and public health, to the global recovery of women who have undergone breast surgery, promoting the more rapid reintegration possible in society, in the working environment and in the private sphere”.
