Giglio Island (Grosseto). The Conference of Mayors of the Albegna Hills met on the Isola del Giglio. During the meeting, the reconfirmation of the position was accepted with a unanimous favorable opinion Dr. Roberta Caldesi as director of the district area and it was decided an increase of 2.30 euros per inhabitant of the capitation fee paid annually by the Municipalities.
“Assessing the particular period of difficulty in which several families find themselves, with the lack of some essential social services of a national nature, such as citizenship income – he comments Giovanni Gentilipresident of the Conference of Mayors of the Albegna Hills –, we considered it essential to maintain the commitment of local administrations to social issues, making an extra effort, in contrast with the national cuts, which led us to decree the increase in the annual capitation fee borne by each Municipality of 2.30 euros per inhabitant. A concrete measure to support social services in the area.”
