The 5 senses of trees, reward the works

For the fifth year it was the mezzanine of the Covered Market of Campagna Amica Ferrara in Via Montebello 43, the place of the awards ceremony of the ‘Campagna Amica degli Artisti 2024’ competition.

The initiative, now in its 11th edition, involved artists from Ferrara and students from the Dosso Dossi Art Institute, called to deal with the theme of the ‘5 senses of the tree’, that is, to artistically express the essence of nature and plants, in particular trees, seen as living beings, dealing with climate changes and with sharing space with men, with the needs of production and people’s lives.

“A comparison – noted the critic Michele Govoni, who spoke after the greetings and introductions of the head of Donne Impresa Ferrara, Sabrina Zanelli and Monia Dalla Libera, vice president of Agrimercato Ferrara – which must be read with the element of resilience and with the ability to grasp something of ourselves in the works of children and adult artists that leads us to reflect on this silent but suffering world of nature”. For the Dosso Doss institute, which participated with the fourth J classes and the fifth A and B classes, the representative Simona Rondina confirmed the interest in the theme and in the Coldiretti initiative. The works (which will remain on display in the mezzanine of the Market and can be visited until May 31st) were rewarded with awards to the first three students (1st place Bianca Bonaveri, 2nd place Irene Buzzola, 3rd place Alice Riccitelli). Moreno Baroncini was awarded in the adult category. In conclusion, the director of Coldiretti Ferrara, Alessandro Visotti, reiterated his intention to continue and increasingly expand the competition, in the belief that the link between our agricultural model, citizens and consumers can also be consolidated through artistic expressions.
