Italian wine exports will grow again in 2024, with an increase in value of 14% in January compared to the same period of the previous year, demonstrating the resilience of the stronger sector to climate change and international tensions. This is what emerges from a Coldiretti analysis of Istat data relating to foreign trade, released at Vinitaly. After the slight decline recorded last year, with a value of 7.8 billion which still makes wine the first item in agri-food exports, the race for Italian bottles resumes starting from the United States, the first reference market, with a equal growth of 14%. There is also a positive sign in Germany, the second outlet – continues Coldiretti -, with a +3% while in Great Britain the increase is as much as 20%. There was also slight growth in France (+6%) but in Putin’s Russia they almost doubled (+87%).

The wine boom pushes the general figure of Made in Italy agri-food exports which in January rose to 5.3 billion euros, with an increase of 13% compared to the same period last year, according to Coldiretti analysis on Istat data. A positive start that follows the all-time record set last year with 64 billion. Tomorrow 4/17 a toast all in pink. The recovery of wine exports will be celebrated tomorrow, Wednesday 17 April, with an all-female toast at Casa Coldiretti, in the tasting which will see the women of wine as protagonists, centered on rosé. The appointment is for 10 am.
