Why were the Serie C Playoffs postponed? The Taranto case, new calendar, dates, scoreboard
Descriptive text here

The Serie C Playoffs have been postponed. The fight for the last promotion to Serie B it should have started on Saturday 4 May, but the post-season is three-day skid. The reason is linked to the Taranto case: the Apulian club is in fact awaiting the final level of judgment regarding the 4 point penalty received for administrative irregularities. The hearing is scheduled for May 3 and therefore the Serie C League has decided to wait for the sentence, postponing the start of the Serie C playoffs to Tuesday 7 May and thus changing the entire calendar.

First round of a single match within the group (the teams between fifth and tenth place participate) on 7 May, second round of the group playoffs on Saturday 11 May (the winners of the first round and the fourth-placed team participate). First round of the national playoffs, where the third-placed teams will also take over, on 14 May and 18 May. Second round of the national playoffs, where the runners-up of the three groups will also come into play, between 21 May and 25 May. The semi-finals on May 28th and June 2nd, final on June 5th and June 9th.

Taranto is currently fifth in group C, but the court’s decision could change everything: with 65 points like Casertana, Benevento is at 66, Avellino is at 59: it goes without saying that the possible return of some points would write the ranking again and the playoff grid of the group would also change. Now Taranto has to play the first round of the group playoffs against Latina, from fourth they would directly take over the second round of the group playoffs, from third they would go directly to the national playoffs.
