Monza. Mayor Paolo Pilotto has issued a contingent and urgent order for the closure of Monza Park, the Royal Gardens and the two city cemeteries starting this afternoon, April 16, 2024. The closure will remain in effect until adverse weather conditions dissipate characterized by strong gusts of wind.

The decision was taken in response to the yellow alert statement issued by the Regional Civil Protection, which signaled the possibility of strong gusts of wind with speed above 60 km/h. This significantly exceeds the standard safety threshold of 40 km/h. Furthermore, measurements carried out using the Park’s anemometer confirmed the arrival of very strong winds.

As a precautionary measure, Viale Cavriga will remain closed to vehicular traffic to ensure the safety of citizens.

Citizens are invited to carefully respect these provisions to avoid potential risks to their safety. The municipal administration’s priority is to ensure the well-being and safety of all residents of Monza.
