Confindustria, Parenti presents his team “New delegations to anticipate changes”

The designated president of Confindustria Piacenza Nicola Parenti he presented the vice presidents of his team, receiving the approval of a very large majority of the General Council. Valter Alberici (Allied Spa) ed Erika Colla (Colla Spa), already present on the Rolleri presidency council, have been confirmed. Alberici retains the responsibility for Innovation and Education, while Colla is assigned Internationalization and attraction of foreign investments. Three new names complete the team, each with new powers. Lorenzo Marchi (Fornaroli Polymers Spa), having reached the end of his mandate at the helm of the Youth Group, will be responsible for networking and synergies for development. Maria Angela Spezia (Eco Packaging Srl), former president of the Small Industry Committee, will have corporate social responsibility and gender equality. To Alessandro Squeri (Steriltom Srl) finance and mentoring of new entrepreneurs. Nicola Parenti will keep for himself the delegations to institutional relations, energy and growth strategies.

“I thank President Rolleri for the work done – Parenti’s words -. He leaves us a rapidly growing association, which has been able to overcome the most complex moments such as the pandemic and consolidate its role as a reference for the local industry. The objective now becomes to support entrepreneurs from Piacenza by helping them to anticipate changes. Grow, grow all together, to guarantee the development of our territory, a condition that only strong and competitive companies can guarantee”. The last step of the process involves the final vote of the shareholders’ meeting, which will meet on May 30th.

The president-designate also proposed the work program for the next 4 years to the Council for a vote and obtained approval. The main projects on which the program will be developed will be the “strengthening, by extending it to other territories, of the “Spazio Crescita” project conceived and wanted by President Rolleri, to support the members in the most delicate and strategic moments”. Among the new activities of the association there will be a “focus on mechanical subcontracting”; the competitiveness of the mechanical industry is linked to the workers and the network of suppliers that can be found within a 100km radius. On the topic of workers, the Association, in recent years, has worked closely with schools, involving young people in technical disciplines. As regards the supply network, “a project will be launched aimed at helping companies in this sector, often small in size, to face the challenges of the future”.

New attention will be paid to the topic of internationalisation, “both as a factor in the development of our businesses and as a factor in attracting foreign investments that can bring innovation and added value to our territory”. “In terms of competitiveness and development of our businesses, two themes are essential today: innovation and sustainability. The Association will provide operational tools to address daily problems and to provide a general vision at a strategic level. The subsidized finance desk will be strengthened, capable of intercepting and offering members the financing that public bodies make available to the business system”. For the first time, Confindustria Piacenza entrusts a vice president with a specific delegation on the topic of corporate social responsibility: “in the lead is the participation of women in the world of work and rapprochement between the world of work and that of volunteering”.

As regards the issue of safety in the workplace, Confindustria had already taken an active part in the past with the project “The 8 safest hours of the day”, wanted by the then President Emilio Bolzoni, and in more recent times through the participation of high school students at the theater show “Bianco Silenzio: the right to work safely”, wanted by President Francesco Rolleri: “Other initiatives will be put in place on this very important topic”. Finally, particular attention will be paid to networking between companies, with a dedicated delegation in the team of vice presidents. “The Association will encourage and promote the creation of synergies between associated companies, connecting local realities with complementary characteristics”. “The will of Confindustria Piacenza remains that of being “Collaborative Protagonists” in the public life of our territory. The Association will continue to dialogue with the institutions and the cultural, social and health world of the province”.
