Since dawn today, impetuous gusts of wind have been blowing across the Alps Piedmont and in Valle d’Aosta up to the plains. On the Gran Vaudala, in the Ceresole Reale area (Turin), the anemometer of the weather station Harp recorded 124.6 km/h; 100 km/h at Rifugio Vaccarone, in the Giaglione area (Turin), 91.8 km/h in Pietrastretta in Susa. At the gates of Turin recorded over 71 km/h at the Alenia station. Strong winds also on the border between Piedmont and Liguria: gusts over 90 km/h were recorded in Ronco Scrivia (Genoa).

The wind complicates the operations of extinguishing a fire in the Biella area. This morning, shortly after 05:30, the Biella firefighters intervened in the municipality of Donato, for a forest fire. The flames were located between Andrate and Alpe Cavanna. Also on site were the Ivrea firefighters with tank fire engine and forest module, the Cossato volunteer firefighters, the carabinieri and Aib.
