Dr Scalisi replaced the Deputy Police Commissioner Dr Corrado Antonino Ciavola who was transferred to the Catania Police Headquarters.

This morning the Police Commissioner of the province of Caltanissetta Pinuccia Albertina Agnello during a conference presented to the press the new director of the Flying Squad, Deputy Police Commissioner of the State Police Dr. Rosario Scalisi. Dr Scalisi replaced the Deputy Police Commissioner Dr Corrado Antonino Ciavola, who was transferred to the Catania Police Headquarters after almost three years of stay in Caltanissetta.

“I met Dr Scalisi a few years ago in Syracuse, when we were both employed in that police station and I was happy to have welcomed him a few days ago in Caltanissetta. – Said the Police Commissioner – Dr Scalisi is a trained and motivated official, he has gained various professional experiences and I am sure that he will be happy in our Police Headquarters”.

“In Caltanissetta I found a collaborative climate – said Dr Scalisi – both among officials and within the Flying Squad. I will continue my operational activity in the footsteps of my predecessors. The objective is to continue dealing blows to organized and common crime. Relations with the press will be based on maximum availability, in compliance with the directives of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Caltanissetta, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Gela and the Public Prosecutor’s Office for minors. Caltanissetta is a city that seems clean and tidy to me, it has a beautiful historic center that could be enhanced. I think I’ll feel good in the city.”

Deputy Police Commissioner Scalisi, who until March directed the SISCO of Brescia, is from Messina, is 45 years old, has a degree in law and a PhD in European Law from the University of Messina, and is qualified to practice as a lawyer and joined the Police in 2008. After attending the 99th training course for State Police Officials at the Higher School of Rome, he served at the Vercelli Police Headquarters holding the positions of Chief of Staff and Squad manager Mobile. In 2014 he was transferred to the Syracuse Police Headquarters where he directed the Organized Crime Section of the Flying Squad, coordinating important investigations against the mafia. In 2021 he was transferred to the Brescia Police Headquarters and was appointed Officer in charge of the Flying Squad and Director of the “Carmine” Public Security Police Station.
