TRIESTE The new Esatto headquarters at the former Meccanografico in Sacchetta is ready, now all that is missing is the staff. This morning, Thursday 4 April, the conclusion of the renovation works on the building located next to the Campo Marzio station was presented: which began in November 2021, they cost a total of around 5.3 million euros (compared to 4, 6 initially planned).

The building – built in the 1980s by Ferrovie dello Stato and then purchased by the Municipality in 2005 – will house all the offices (with the exception of some specific units) of the municipal collection company, with the remaining spaces to be used by social services.

However, the definitive move of Esatto will only take place in February because, explains director Raffaella Del Punta, “there are tax deadlines that cannot be suspended and which force us to wait a few months”.

The Municipality’s tax and innovation offices will also be temporarily positioned on the second floor of the building, due to the works that will involve the current offices starting next year. «This whole area will completely change its face – comments the mayor Roberto Dipiazza – and today we have taken another step in this direction».
