Genoa – The Port System Authority of the Central-Northern Tyrrhenian Sea is definitively recognized as a “Core” port. This was announced by the Port System Authority itself, the Network that includes the ports of Civitavecchia, Fiumicino and Gaeta, underlining how “this finally allows the ports of Rome and Lazio to enter the European financing programs through the main door”.

Last April 24th was published in Gucethe Official Journal of the European Union, the Ten T regulation which formalized the formal closure of this long journey, attempted since 1996 but only closed in the last 3 years with the Commission first and now also with the EU Parliament.

“Having obtained the formal closure of the procedure and this recognition at European level – he underlines Pino Musolino, president of AdSP Mtcs – is a source of great pride and satisfaction and certifies, once again, that the work we are doing is bearing fruit in all areas”. “We are faced – concludes Musolino – with a result that is the result of great work institutional team, both at Italian and European level. It is certainly an incentive to do more and better to exploit the possibilities offered by inclusion in the “Core” network, especially for the Motorways of the Sea. An opportunity for the development and growth of employment in the port and the entire territory.”
