600 million euros seized and 24 arrests for the maxi operation which is involving northern Italy including Trentino Alto Adige.

The financiers of the Provincial Command of the Financial Police of Venice and of the Special Unit for Public Expenditure and Repression of Community Frauds, with the support of the Central Organized Crime Investigation Service (SCICO) and the Special Unit for the Protection of Privacy and Technological Frauds, have carried out an ordinance, containing 24 personal precautionary measures (of which 8 in prison, 14 under house arrest and 2 disqualifications to carry out professional and commercial activities) and seizures for 600 million euros.
Thanks to the activation of EPPO’s judicial cooperation channels, the operations are affecting several European countries, with the involvement of the Slovak, Romanian and Austrian police forces; on the national territory, over 150 financiers are carrying out searches in Veneto, Lombardy, Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Tuscany, Lazio, Campania and Puglia, also with the help of “cash dog” dog units. The fraud activities, at the state of the investigations attributed to the criminal association with the involvement of dthe various frontmen and the help of 4 professionalsinitially involved project initiatives worth tens of millions of euros, financed under the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan), in the context of Digitalisation, Innovation and Competitiveness in the production system and provided by SIMEST (a company owned by CDP with the aim of supporting Italian companies in their internationalization process), which promptly responded to the requests of the judicial authorities by providing collaboration in the investigations. The investigations then made it possible to reveal how the same organisation, often using the same companies, was also dedicated to the creation of non-existent credits in the construction sector (facade bonuses) and to support the capitalization of businesses (ACE), for around 600 million of Euro.
