Mayor Ferrara: “On Teateservizi we must all row in the same direction” – Il Giornale di Chieti
Descriptive text here

We publish below the speech of the mayor of Chieti, Diego Ferrara, on the Teateservizi affair in light of today’s meeting of the City Council.

The Council highlighted something important: the common concern of the majority and minority for the workers of Teateservizi is a positive fact. Everything the Administration could do to put in place first to save Teateservizi from bankruptcy and then to stand by the workers and ensure that they had an assured professional future, it did. Acts, even uncomfortable decisions, positions taken, collaboration with all subjects gradually involved in the future of our former subsidiary, as well as active synergy with the post-bankruptcy curatorship. Now we must all row in the same direction which for us is the temporary exercise, because it is the situation that would best ensure the very important function of Teateservizi, collection. An important function because a failing organization cannot afford hesitation, a function which has never been interrupted in recent months, despite the difficulties, despite the uncertainties and despite the fact that the decision, now, on the future of this service will have to be once again the court of Chieti. In the meantime we have not been idle, we have worked together to find solutions, never lacking our responsibility and presence. For this reason I want to protect this topic from any type of exploitation, be it political, technical or of any other kind. Those who have effective solutions put them in place, we have never closed this door and we are available to work together with those who are sincerely interested in the future of Teateservizi, of the collection, and above all of the workers who are the asset that matters most to us in this affair.
