Lamezia Terme – Day of solidarity in the oncology department of the Lamezia Terme hospital which turns festive on the occasion of Holy Easter.
Thanks to the donation of a patient being treated at the department and the commitment of the Alice volunteer association, giant Easter eggs and baskets full of sweets and delicacies typical of the Easter holidays were donated. The DH nursing staff, thanks to the imaginative and imaginative Maria Bubba assisted by her colleagues, did the rest to try to joyfully brighten the moments of stay and care of cancer patients. We proceeded with an extraction of the names of all the patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment, the testimonial of the event was called the writer Igor Colombo from Lamezia, who has also been a patient of the department for several months.
In a curious and amused waiting room, and in front of the happy eyes of the head of the department, Dr. Pina Molinaro, supported by the entire medical team, Igor Colombo drew the three names of the winners of the prizes made available. Then everyone took a group photo and exchanged Easter greetings. A joyous moment in a very particular department, carried out with diligence, competence and love by all the doctors and the nursing and social health staff, despite all the difficulties and the health crisis in Lamezia which does not spare even a department like the oncology one. Words of praise and thanks were addressed by Colombo to all the staff and to the Alice association, which has always been sensitive and close to cancer patients, trying to help the department with the many activities and events of a charitable nature organized by the same association.
