There Female Rome celebrated its second consecutive tricolor last Friday, with defender Elena Linari emerging as one of the team’s winning pillars. “We are never satisfied, we always want more,” reveals Linari in an exclusive to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Winning another scudetto was extraordinary,” says Linari, “it never happened before Roma got two titles in a row. We are proud of this result and hope that it marks the beginning of a long history of successes. We want to constantly improve and celebrate this title on the pitch with our fans.”
Linari reflects on the team’s absolute dominance, attributing part of the success to the awareness gained during the games Champions League. “The Champions League matches showed us our true quality. The defeats against Juventus and Inter also motivated us. You also need a little luck, but as they say, luck rewards the brave.”
With the final of Italian Cup on the horizon, Linari expresses the team’s determination to continue winning. “After the scudetto, our goal is to also win the Italian Cup. We know it won’t be easy, Fiorentina are a strong team and we have to be at the top of our abilities to beat them.”
Recognizing the importance of fan support at Tre Fontane, Linari highlights the special bond between team and supporters. “For us, who come from a difficult past, having so much support is wonderful. Our fans are a big family and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for always being by our side, even in less important matches.”
