Terna’s appeal is rejected by the Veneto TAR. The Province and Municipality of Perarolo come out with their heads held high.

“Actually half high – underlines the Dolomiti Nursery Association in a note – because after this appeal the Province gave up its position. On the other hand, we know that the President is more dedicated to loving each other than to fighting for territory.
The act of direction of the province and the municipalities that ask for the undergrounding of the electricity lines is legitimate and therefore now it is Terna who has to technically demonstrate why it cannot be done, such as the passage on the motorway being absolutely feasible (only our administrators believed the contrary, see Paolo Gamba and Roberto Padrin above all).
The TAR writes an inadmissible appeal, still a small but big brick in favor of the citizens who have always pushed towards a solution to the landfills.
We hope – concludes the note from Vivaio Dolomiti – that Terna’s new top management will be less short-sighted than the previous ones and that they will be able to resolve the critical issues of the Belluno electricity grids by pursuing the best solutions for a beautiful and fragile territory like ours”.
