WOMEN’S A1 SERIES
The women’s volleyball Serie A1 confirms itself as a land of conquest for Conegliano, which wins its sixth consecutive Scudetto and the seventh in its history. Imoco becomes Italian champion thanks to the decisive success in game 4 against Scandicci, right in Tuscany: Savino Del Bene holds on but loses 23-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-21, without managing to extend the series at game 5. Yet, the hosts took the first set with the slightest advantage, but then lost to the Champions League finalists. The lost opening set wakes up the reigning champions, who dominate the next two with a double 25-17. In the fourth, the match returns to being balanced but, paradoxically, Scandicci is condemned by one of the best: Ekaterina Antropova, protagonist with 22 points. His service error, in fact, condemns the Tuscans and sets off the party in Conegliano, who now awaits the Champions League final to celebrate, after the Italian Cup and the Italian Super Cup, yet another trophy: they will challenge Milan. Legendary Isabelle Haak, who scored 29 points, also helped by Kathryn Plummer’s 18 and Marina Lubian’s 12. And that’s seven Scudetti, six in the last six editions. In Scandicci, only the small consolation of having inflicted one of the two seasonal defeats suffered by Imoco so far.

MEN’S SUPERLEAGUE
While waiting to understand who will win the Scudetto between Perugia and Monza, Milan sits on the lowest step of the podium thanks to the success in race 4 over Trento. At the Allianz Cloud ends 25-21, 18-25, 25-20, 25-21 in favor of the hosts, who have a super Yuki Ishikawa to thank: 28 points, to which are added the 18 from Reggers and the 11 by Mergarejo Hernandez. For Itas, however, Michieletto’s 19, Rychlicki’s 14 and Magalini’s 12 are not enough. The final for fifth place, however, goes to Civitanova, which closes the series with Verona on 3-1 and qualifies for the Challenge Cup. It ends 23-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-22 for Lube , who thanks Yant’s 24 points and Lagumdzija’s 21, while Rana loses despite Keita’s 19 and Esmaeilnezhad’s 18.
