CORIGLIANO ROSSANO. A day of celebration dedicated to being together, sharing and peace. On May 1st the Run and Walk for Peace returns for the 33rd edition. An eagerly awaited moment of recreational and motor aggregations with free participation.
It is a walk of about 5 km to be experienced and shared, which touches some of the most characteristic points of the artistic and naturalistic heritage of the city, starting from Viale De Rosis. The aim of the event is to increase the promotion of psycho-physical well-being through the practice of physical activity and the sharing of a moment of union and social aggregation for all citizens.
Below are the rules for Run and Walk for Peace 2024.
Meeting and departure
Welcome and meeting: starting from 08.30 am Viale Luca De Rosis
Departure: 10:00 am viale De Rosis – Arrival: piazza Steri
It is a recreational-motor walk. It is forbidden to leave before the official start. Participants who enter the starting area will no longer be able to leave it until after the start. The walk will take place even in case of rain.
Path
The route will be closed to vehicular traffic. It is approximately 5 km, this is the detail:
Departure from Viale De Rosis (in front of the registry office)
Turn left along Via Enrico Fermi
Turn left onto Viale Margherita
Turn onto Via Torre Pisani;
Sp 250
Via San Nilo
Arrival Piazza Steri
Participants can also cover the distance at “free pace”. During the event, medical and health assistance will be guaranteed and refreshment points will be present for the distribution of water.

It will also be possible to register on May 1st (no later than 9.30 am) at the reception point located at the start although it is strongly recommended to do so beforehand.
Furthermore, it is possible to enter the name of the school you belong to, so as to participate for the largest school.
Registration entitles you to the participation kit(s), which can be collected from
the welcome point located at the start. By registering you accept what is contained in this regulation. There is no registration fee
Minimum age and method of participation
Participation is open to all ages. Participants under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Carers will therefore be free to accompany their minors; they will be free to register and will also receive the participation kit. There is no registration fee
Kit delivery
The participation kit includes the non-woven backpack, the t-shirt and a water bottle. The participation kit and medal will be guaranteed while supplies last. The kit will be delivered from 08.30 to 10.00 at the reception point at the departure.
Largest school award ceremony
At the end of the event, the school in the municipal area that will be represented by more pupils will compete for the prizes in vouchers for school supplies in the following order:
