The universal language of music is relocated in the most correct perspective: at the center of all priorities, agendas, in the life of the community and of individuals
Through music it was possible to draw, all together, a significant message in support of humanity affected by conflicts. Wanted and organized by the Rotary Clubs of Soverato, Santa Severina, Catanzaro, Catanzaro Tre Colli, Vibo Valentia, Del Reventino, Cropani, Strongoli and Rotary E-Club of Calabria International, “The Concert of Peace” which was held on Saturday afternoon, at the Teatro Comunale of Soverato it represented an important opportunity to reflect on the need to work for peace in the contemporary world.
Performing on stage will be the Leonardo Vinci wind orchestra, in collaboration with the musical association “Giuseppe Verdi” Aps, with the participation of the renowned directors Francesco Castagnino, Alessandro Facente and Simone Emiliano Pasculli, together with the talented solo clarinettist Francesco Algieri.
The event was chaired by the Presidents of the organizing Rotary Clubs, including Pietro Daniele (Rotary Club Soverato), Antonella Nocita (Rotary Club Santa Severina), Carlo Maletta (Rotary Club Catanzaro), Carlo Maria Comito (Rotary Club Catanzaro Tre Colli) , Ketty De Luca (Rotary Club Vibo Valentia), Battista Folino (Rotary Club Del Reventino), Gianluca Pitari (Rotary Club Cropani), and Leonardo Stasi (Rotary Club Strongoli).
“It is a great privilege for me to have you as guests in Soverato on this evening dedicated to world peace: your active presence aims to testify to the synergy created between us and the beautiful friendship established – he stated the president of the Soverato Rotary Club, Pietro Daniele -. For us Rotarians, peacebuilding remains a cornerstone of our mission. Rotary is committed to creating environments where peace can be built and maintained through sustainable activities in communities around the world. The motto of the Rotary year 2023/2024, “Creating hope in the world”, encourages us to pursue this goal in favor of peace. The words of Gordon R. McInally, President-elect of Rotary International, show us the way forward.”

The concert was also preceded by the speech of the president of the Santa Severina club, Antonella Nocita, and the president of Vibo Ketti De Luca who read the Rotary prayer on peace.
