Enpam, the social security body for doctors and dentists, has expressed its favorable opinion on the 2023 budget of the Bank of Italy. Against a profit of approximately 815 million euros, Bankitalia paid its shareholders a total dividend of approximately 340 million. A decision which for Enpam, taking into account the value of its shareholding, will yield gross proceeds of 16.76 million euros with a yield of 4.5%. “This year too, despite the difficulties linked to the high interest rates that the Bank of Italy itself had to pay to the European Central Bank, the strategic value of our investment is confirmed – commented Alberto Oliveti, president of Enpam and of Adepp–. In addition to having a significant financial return, this participation allows ENPAM, together with the other Adepp Casse present among the shareholders, to play a role in supporting the Italian banking system”. In total, 11 professional pension funds associated with Adepp participate in the capital of the Bank of Italy, with a total share of 25.33 percent.
