At the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo the Azzurri lost 2-0 against Atalanta. The goals from Pasalic on the penalty in the first half and from Lookman in the second half were decisive. A difficult match already on paper, a match in which Empoli did not disfigure, but it must be said that neither the determination admired in the last two at home was seen. Especially in the first half, with Atalanta also quite mixed up, the team only paid attention to covering themselves without ever giving the sensation of trying to make a move. A first half that almost managed to bring the game to a draw, if Pezzella’s foul hadn’t come later, resulting in a penalty, and Bergamo’s advantage. In the second half a nice goal from Lookman arrived immediately which directed the game and, perhaps, made our team loosen up a bit. Having nothing left to lose, the team showed a bit of courage and showed up every now and then in the Carnesecchi area. There were great dangers, but we didn’t cause any and, if anything, it was the Nerazzurri who came closest to scoring the third goal. However, we could and should have dared to do something more, regardless of the opponent, given that points are always important. An attitude that, overall, has been missing in all the last away matches, but an attitude that will have to be perfect next Sunday in a match that could be of great value for our salvation. With four rounds to go we are three down, and we are on par with Verona and with Frosinone who will be our next opponent.
